Silvia Alemany obtained a Psychology Degree at Universitat Autónoma
de Barcelona in 2006. She later completed an Interuniversitary Master Program
on Human Biology in the University of Barcelona. She obtained the Research
Competence Diploma (D.E.A.) in 2007.
In January 2007, she obtained a PhD grant from the Instituto de
Salud Carlos III (FI07/00272). From June to September 2009 she realized a
research stay in the Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre of the
King’s College in London (UK) under the supervision of Dr. Rijsdijk.
Her doctoral project is focused on the comprehension of the genetic
and environmental influences involved in the development of ps ychotic,
depressive and anxious symptoms and their brain correlates in general
population.
