The neuroimaging platform is a technical group within CIBERSAM whose main objective is to enhance the use of quantitative analysis techniques in neuroimaging. The platform is the contact vehicle between groups specializing in processing and analysis within the CIBER of Mental Health. Work will also have a connection between clinical users and experienced groups with technical expertise in the processing of image.

Fixed resources are located in the Medical Imaging Laboratory, Experimental Medicine and Surgery Unit of the Gregorio Marañon General University Hospital in Madrid, coordinated by Manuel Desco (G07). The scientific committee consists of Reig S (G01), Bargalló N (G04), J Haro (G11), R Salvador (G15), J Sanjuan (G23) and Crespo-Facorro B (G26).

Any researcher of the Centre for Biomedical Research in Mental Health Network may use it and the platform provides the following services:

Tasks of the platform

• Repository tools for medical image processing (visualization, quantification, analysis, format conversion, etc.)..

• Creation and development of new neuroimaging tools available for use by CIBERSAM groups.

• Technical support for the installation of processing tools.

• Creating and maintaining a directory of experts in advanced processing.

• Inventory, evaluation and documentation of databases of images.

• Support for the acquisition and processing of nuclear and structural neuroimaging in clinical teams and for small animals.

• Management of offer of image processing by specialized groups.

• Consulting on analysis methods and image quantification.

• Intensive theoretical and practical training for specialized management of advanced tools for analysing neuroimaging.

• Servers can access the web for format conversion, anonymisation, storage and basic processing.
