The main objective of the research centers Biomdica Network is to promote collaborative RESEARCH. And to carry out a collaborative networking is essential to share data within the different groups of the Network
One of the more problemticos currently in the RESEARCH elaboracin psiquitrica is the criteria for consensus and common scales of diagnostics for medical evaluation, and response pronstico treatment. Each of the groups that form part of the instruments used CIBERSAM evaluacin-diagnostic and clinically standardized scales for particular line of RESEARCH. However, as expected, the basis of data available at present are not fully comparable in many of the variables or scales clinically used.
Consequently, and despite being used standard scales and criteria for elaboracin of each database, computerized treatment is impossible altogether due to the different formats and structures in which they represent and store data . This difficulty significantly penalizes the interest of the available data, reducing the knowledge that can be drawn from the same whole. Therefore, for the implemen Network collaborative projects is essential to consolidate the data available so that studies are conducted on the total of the population. <br>
In this context, the collaboration has CIBERSAM group Computacin RESEARCH Grid and High Performance (GRyCAP - www.grycap.upv.es)
Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV - www. upv.es)
, In addition to a collaboration with the network of mental health RESEARCH UK PsyGrid ( http://www.psygrid.org/
). All coordinated from the G23 group of the University of Valencia (IP J. Sanjun)
The GRyCAP estdesarrollando a system for capturing and preprocessing of data that allow the various participating groups to enter and share data and genmicos clinically. In developing this system were taken into account the following objectives:
Encourage reintroduccin reutilizaciny avoid data.
Standardize formats, scales and structure of the data entered. All data codificarn as possible.
Allow different access to existing data.
Promoting international COOPERATION.
Simplicity of access and preprocessing of data for quality improvement.
The data management system organizes data CIBERSAM for projects so that the coordinator of a project to establish the criteria by which data is shared and even reuse data from the same patient on different projects without reintroducing. Thus, the enrichment of patient data in a project can benefit all projects sharing the patient. The data management system CIBER of Mental Health's ability to filter and extract data in formats readable by STATS standard applications, Ascom monitor the level of quality and completeness of the different sites in different projects . Lastly, it has a friendly interface project records (patients), scales and assessments that facilitates both the introduction of data as reference.
