1. European Programmes and International relations

Coordinator: José Antonio Ramos Quriga, Fundación Hospital Universitario Vall d´Hebron-Institut de Recerca (VHIR).

The CIBER area for European Programmes and International Relations works in close cooperation with the other areas and programmes to promote its researchers’ participation in international-scale projects and initiatives and in carrying out specific measures for displaying and promoting the international presence of CIBERSAM.

Over the last few years the CIBER has already attained a leading position in Spanish and international Psychiatry. In 2014 the main aim was the establishment and conservation of contacts with European Commission bodies, not only through putting forward proposals and cooperation in international consortiums, but also attempting to further the appearance of international calls in the priority areas of the CIBERSAM’s research. Furthermore, as a result of the international recognition attained by the CIBERSAM, an attempt has been made to increase the CIBER’s participation in extra-European programmes.

Objectives:

  • To encourage participation by CIBERSAM groups in calls for European and international projects, offering support for the groups who wish to get involved in this type of initiatives.
  • To further coordination of European projects by CIBERSAM researchers.
  • To establish contacts with bodies involved in financing research into mental health on European and international scales in order to stimulate the appearance of calls in the priority areas of CIBERSAM’s research.
