Research areas: Other mental disorders
This area spans a broad series of highly prevalent and potentially debilitating diseases, whose research is undergoing a period of intense expansion. These diseases largely overlap with the other diseases that the CIBERSAM addresses in other areas, and share the same mission, objectives, and strategies. They also share an advantage for translational research, where they combine the clinical aspects of the disease with the etiologic, physiopathologic, epidemiologic, and risk-factor studies that improve our understanding of the diseases.
Examples of this research are shown below for each field of study, with financed products currently in progress or in the application stage, which attest to the research capability and potential of the members of the Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Salud Mental:
